Arkansas basketball unveiled special pink uniforms ahead of their game on Tuesday night against LSU. As usual, the reactions were mixed. Most fans loved them – along with the cause it was supporting – while some weren’t completely on board with the look.

This isn’t the first time that the Razorbacks have changed up their look under Eric Musselman. In fact, it’s become quite normal for the team to wear multiple different uniforms that stray from their traditional red and white looks. Some of the biggest moments during the Elite Eight runs over the last two seasons happened with Arkansas wearing alternate jerseys.

The team was wearing a white jersey with a Hog logo on the chest in place of the traditional “Arkansas” lettering when Devo Davis hit a last second shot against Oral Roberts in 2021’s Sweet Sixteen. When the team defeated No. 1 overall seed Gonzaga in the 2022 Sweet Sixteen, they were wearing a red jersey with a Hog logo instead of the school or mascot name.

This season alone, the Razorbacks have worn 11 different uniforms. With so many different looks, I’ve decided to go through and rank them all. This is based on my personal opinion and the team’s performance while wearing each of the uniforms isn’t heavily considered.

That being said, here’s my Razorback uniform rankings for the 2022-23 season.

This alternate look debuted last season, and it’s easily my least favorite look. The gray camo side-stripes confuse me because they were never worn for a special occasion like the camo uniforms from 2018 when they played Texas in Fort Bliss. The camo is just kind of randomly thrown into the design. I’m also not a fan of not having trim on the neck and shoulders, which is why it ranks last for me.

I’m not against having both the school and mascot names on the front of the jersey, but the small font coupled with the large numbers makes it look awkward here. I’m also not a huge fan of the gray/white side-stripes without any white trim on the shoulders. Not the worst but not my favorite by any means.

I absolutely love the “Jumping through the A” Hog logo. This logo and the “Slobberin’ Hog” are my two favorite throwback Arkansas logos. However, the execution on this alternate uniform could’ve been better. I’m not a fan of the gray and red trim (why not black and red to match the throwback logo?). I also feel there’s too much empty space. The throwback logo is the only thing that ranks it higher than other two.

This white uniform is a slightly different version of the primary white uniform that Arkansas wears most of the time. It debuted last season and has been worn a few times already this season. The reason it’s not ranked higher for me is the lack of red shoulder trim and the red side designs aren’t really my favorite.

For the first time ever, Arkansas basketball donned pink jerseys when they played LSU on Jan. 24. It was for a great cause – Coaches vs. Cancer’s ‘Suits and Sneakers Week – and likely just a one-time thing. Aside from the pink color, I really liked the simple design of the side-stripes and white trim. I wouldn’t mind seeing red and white versions of these take the court eventually.

The main reason I like this uniform is because it’s so different from traditional looks. Sure, it looks a little bit like a practice jersey at first glance with the logo in place of the team’s name, but the iconic Razorback logo makes it work. These red alternate uniforms made their debut last season for the Hogs. As I mentioned earlier, they were also worn when Arkansas beat No. 1 overall seed Gonzaga in the 2022 Sweet Sixteen. The gray/white side-stripe design isn’t my favorite, but I’ll let it slide this time.

Again, I like having the iconic Razorback logo across the chest because it’s unique and different. I also really like that it keeps the “tusk-like” side-stripes that are on the traditional white uniforms. There might be a little bias because it was what Arkansas wore in 2021 when they defeated Oral Roberts to end the 25-year Elite Eight drought.

I already know this is going to be extremely controversial.

Do I really like the anthracite color by itself? No. But man, have the anthracite alternate uniforms grown on me over the years. I would much rather them just go with true black instead of the gray anthracite, but nonetheless I’ve become a fan of this look since it debuted in 2013.

I have the traditional white uniform ranked at No. 3 because it’s a simple and clean look with the added modern flare of the “tusk-like” side stripes. The red trim on the neck and shoulders complete the look and make it one of my favorites. Also, contrary to popular opinion, I like the updated “Nike font” in place of the boring old “block” font across the chest.

The traditional red uniform with “Arkansas” across the chest is one of my favorite looks of all-time. The white trim on the neck and shoulders with “tusk-like” side-stripes make it pop and look very clean. Once again, I actually like the “Nike font.” Sue me.

Nostalgic. Unique. Clean.

What more is there to say about this look? The modernized version of the uniform that Arkansas wore in the 1994 National Championship entered the rotation during the 2019-2020 season. The classic look is a fan-favorite and No. 1 in my book because of the history, but it’s also just a really good-looking uniform.
